Therese Gramercy . . . the girl named Trees

Ice Tree

Above

Transcending time,
the world falls away,
the moment we touched,
the stars shared my space.

On a mountain we rise,
above the cloud line,
the seas below, midnight blue,
kiss cotton-laced skies.

We sit, side by side,
yet we embrace,
linen white, your soft sleeves,
lilac silk ‘round my waist.

Teared glances, sighed breaths,
warm hands on bare toes,
knowing we must return
to our lives down below.

But all things have changed,
now that I know your face,
and I’ve seen the eyes
time can never erase.

Sustain me, my dreams,
to wait for the love
that transcends all time,
the love born while above.
