Therese Gramercy . . . the girl named Trees

Leafy overhang with shuttered window in background

Window in Time

I do not want to delay my dreams again,
I do not wish to lose my cherished noble friend.
I do not covet the petty things in life,
I do not insist that you take me as your wife.

I do believe that love is the ultimate gift,
I do ascribe that you must risk all to attain its lift.
I do realize that we may not have all in life that we want,
I do question if the love behind your shuttered window has been lost.
