Therese Gramercy . . . the girl named Trees

Frost-covered tree

Undone

I am starting now to lean,
for I have been standing far too long,
backwards, I am about to fall,
my world has finally come undone.

You used to lean on me,
so many others did as well,
now the tables have been turned,
and you have left me all alone in hell.

My former fairytale life is gone,
it lies scattered about my feet,
when I needed your love the most,
you abandoned me in my grief.

I will not remain undone for good,
for my will is much too strong,
like a willow bent with snow I will rebound,
and a new love will come along.
