Blue Skies

Blue Skies

A life of her own, a life that is new,
one that includes a crystal view.

You spoke these words when my life was low,
told me to go back, that I had farther to go,
though the winds would blow, the clouds would part,
and all the while I would feel your heart,
that I should rest, sweet child, the day would come,
when I would kiss blue skies and feel the sun,
as I descended through time, my new life would begin,
a new life where I would find love again.

And just as you promised, when I opened my eyes,
your words were the truth for there were blue skies.
